Last week I was in London. A city with a special charm and where you can always discover something new. This trip has been wonderful because I had the opportunity to visit the exhibition
of Alexander McQueen at the Victoria & Albert Museum. A pleasure.
Personally I feel a special connection with London. Perhaps by having British roots and from small have heard many stories about this cosmopolitan city. Their houses, the British style, the kindness which is perceived in any place and the possibility of feeling the four seasons in one day, make it unique.
Markets

I've been to those places that I like especially his spirit. Camden Market and Portobello road. Ideal for walking, taking pictures and especially for inspire you. Camden is ideal for touring, buy original things and taste dishes from different countries with exquisite flavors and aromas. And in Portobello, the obligatory stop is The Hummingbird Bakery. Delicious cupcakes that you can have with a coffee take away and thus keep discovering all the stalls that are a delight. Whether you love vintage pieces or original designs.
In both places you can find so many different styles to each other and that's what makes them more attractive. They are those places where you can really lose track of time. Or at least that happens to me every time I go.
Fashion streets
London is ideal for walk all around the city. Browse the most chic neighborhoods is a real delight. If you are a fashion addict, you lose yourself in the streets of Soho, Mayfair and Covent Garden. Bond Street is the most glamorous street where you will find the best luxury brands. On the streets, fashion is seen at its best. All the styles in one city. Really amazing. And that's what I like.
Museums

Although you're not a big fan of museums, you can not miss the Tate Modern and the Victoria & Albert museums. Both are spectacular, either for its architecture, history and the wonderful exhibition you can find there. Having visited the Tate, you must go to the 6th floor and enjoy the panoramic views of the Thames. A real pleasure, and even more if you accompany it with some of the options offered in the restaurant, as the "afternoon tea".
In the V&A you will generally find some temporary exhibition on fashion. All of them are a must. On this trip, I had the pleasure of attending "Savage Beauty", the exhibition from the british designer Alexander McQueen, who died five years ago. It is the largest exhibition that the museum has dedicated to the world of fashion. This same exhibition was opened at the Metropolitan Museum in New York in 2011 after the death of the creator February 11, 2010. But in this opportunity, with sixty pieces more than in New York.
It's hard to find words to explain about this exhibition. Well you could say that is a journey through the most iconic collections from this designer. Where you can see a special talent, genius and a way of thinking that made him so different as to change the rules all the time. Each fashion show was incredible, amazing and all the world was waiting for them. But as yet I have more to tell you about "Savage Beauty" soon I will publish an article on this wonderful journey through the life and work of a genius of fashion, Lee Alexander McQueen.
Harvey Nichols
International luxury lifestyle stores, it was founded in 1831 and is located in Knightsbridge. It is the style at its finest. You will love everything there. You can find brands of exclusive and avant-garde designers. Also beauty products, restaurants and a super deli with the seal of Harvey Nichols. The storefronts are magazine covers. Undoubtedly, a place to go for discover some secrets of fashion.
The rest of the trip I have dedicated to walk and take pictures in the vicinity of the Thames, Piccadilly Circus, London Eye and some other sites. And I recorded a video with my new SJCAM that I absolutely love. Very soon I'll show you the video and what I have fun recording it.
I hope you liked my London trip. Don´t forget to leave me your comments, questions or suggestions.
