Sort your spring wardrobe: dresses

With the start of spring (hopefully) just around the corner, the chance to update our wardrobes is upon us. You may need to keep hold of the chunky knits, just in case, but there’s no reason why you can’t start adding some fabulous summer threads to the mix, ready for the arrival of the warmer weather.
If you are on a budget, don’t worry! You can find some incredible bargains in your local supermarket, such as George at ASDA. You’ll be amazed at the quality and the vast range of clothing to choose from.
As a fashion fiend, you’ll know that dresses are all the rage during the spring/summer seasons and the brighter the better this year. Even if the sun doesn’t come out from behind the clouds as often as you’d like, at least you’ll be radiant!

The Maxi Dress
You can find all your maxi dresses at George. With various styles making their way onto the rails all the time, keep an eye out for some of your favourite colours and designs.
This spring, patterns and prints are a winner. Take your pick from the various options, including the striped maxi dress and the Aztec print maxi dress – perfect by day with a pair of sandals, or after sunset with a simple pair of wedges.
Make sure you have at least one maxi dress in your summer capsule wardrobe. Whether you play safe with a plain and simple style or make a statement with some bold colours, you can’t go far wrong with a maxi.

The Evening Dress
If you have anything special to look forward to, add an evening dress or two to your wardrobe. Perfect for a romantic dinner for two, a wedding reception or something to throw on for a night on the town, take your pick from the various designs available.
Tip your hat towards the 40s and 50s with a waist cinching wiggle dress, or opt for the stunning panel illusion dresses that are currently available in ASDA to give you a figure to die for.

The Retro Dress
With an appreciation for the 60s still in full force, a dress to reflect your love for the decade is a must. With plenty of playful prints available for you to rock, you could illuminate the room with a statement outfit such as Barbara Hulanicki animal shirt dress – button it to the top and style your hair into a beehive and you’ll look simply amazing.
The Knitted Dress
It may nearly be spring, but cover all bases with a knitted dress. After all, with the unpredictable weather, you never know when the next cold spell could be. The Geo Knitted Dress would be ideal with a pair of thick, plain navy tights and some knee high boots to keep you warm and looking fab on an otherwise drab afternoon.
